The document discusses selecting images for a band's album packaging. It describes 6 images that will be used for the front cover, inside pages, behind the CD, and back cover. Key details include:
- The front cover image features a balloon with the band's song name showing their motif and allowing more people to see it.
- Inside images continue the balloon/costume theme and include guitars to indicate the acoustic/indie genre.
- The image behind the CD keeps the balloon/words theme but uses a happier image to show the band is also fun.
- Additional inside images again feature guitars and take inspiration from other indie bands' bright photography.
- A close-up portrait
1. This is the image
we plan to use for
the front cover,
we picked this one
because it has the
name of our song
on the balloon.
We also wanted to
use it because the
balloon and
writing is our
motif so putting in
on the front will
mean more
people can see
this image. By
putting the guitar
in it shows the
band is acoustic
and use of
costume shows a
more indie genre.
2. This is one of the images going into the middle of our Digipack, this fits with all the others
as they are all in the same location with the same costume which links them easier. We
added the acoustic guitar to back up our music genre.
3. This is the image
that is going
behind the CD
itself, we decided
to stick to the
theme with the
balloon and the
words. We
decided to use a
more fun and
happy image to
show that the
band isn’t all
serious and can
be fun. The
writing is the
bands name
repeated over, so
it becomes
familiar.
4. This is another
one of the
images that will
go inside our
Digipack, we
put the guitar in
the image again
so the genre is
clear. We
decided to take
it in a bright
light as we
found a lot of
other indie
bands had this
kind of image.
5. This image will
also be placed
in our Digipack,
we decided to
go for a more
close up picture
so that the girls
face becomes
recognizable.
We put the
sunlight into the
picture again,
and Bethany is
smiling because
we wanted to
show that our
album is a
happy one so it
comes across as
the uplifting
album it is.
6. This is the image for our back cover, we chose this so she will point at the names of the
songs that are on the album, we decided that in this image we would add more on the
landscape rather than the person as it is a big focus on her throughout the Digipack.
