With increasing awareness of the severity of the domestic problem as well as increasing pressure by international trading partners to comply with international standards, the Thai government overhauled its approach to food safety. The Cabinet passed a ‘ Road Map of Food Safety ’, which serves as a framework for the control of food and agricultural products throughout the food chain.
