- The CMS has two software components, the ‘Market Platform’, which is installed locally on the instructor’s computer, and the ‘Trader Station’, which is installed on each of the delegate’s computer.
- You are now viewing the Trader Station of the Capital Market SimulatorWe will briefly show you some of the features available on the Trader Station
- The first section is the Position and Profits panel.In this panel the trader has a lot of information.Starting with the Instruments being traded in the specific simulation.
- The current market price
- the High and Low for the day,
- The opening price
- The current market position
- The average acquisition price for the position
- The mark-to-market profit
- The Cumulative Profit
- the Total P&L
- and the amount of commissions paid.
- The next section is our charts.
- You can view the chart for any of the traded or benchmarkinstrusments via the drop-down list OR by clicking in the instrument in the Profit and Postions panel
- You have the ability to view a number of pre-determined market views
- As well as the ability to change the chart type fromCandle stickTo OHLCLine or Mountain
- The next section of the trader station is the Broker Ladder.Here we offer two types of trading.The first is a simple 1-click to trade by hitting the button next to the market or order bid or offer
- The second trading method is via a click-and-confirm.When you click on a market bid or offer, a TRADE TICKET will open where the trader has the ability to confirm the price and number of instruments traded before applying, or competing the order.
- Our next section is the News Panel. In the left panel we have Breaking News Headlines
- Clicking the selected headline will display the relevant news story in the right panel
- The next set of panels is comprised of the Blotter which records all trades that are completed as well as all canceled trades
- In the open order panel, it displays all open trades which have not been filled.
- In the upper right hand of the trader screen is information on the amount of CASH that the trader has, along with the relevant short sell limit imposed on the simulation.
- In the footer of the Trader station, you have the relevant:Session Name,Trading Status – with a green and red indicator which displays whether the markets are open or closedAs well as the traders name and team affiliation
- In the lower right section of the Trader Station is a Progress Bar which displays the time remaining in the simulation
- As well as the theoretical simulation time in an digital clock
