To whom it may concern:
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Mr.
Leon Yahes former Director of International Sales for Latin America
for Gaumard Scientific. I have had the pleasure of knowing Leon in my
capacity as Director of the Florida Enterprise Section in the US Pavilion
at Hospitalar, for the past 5 years because of his participation
managing the Gaumard booth in the Florida Enterprise Exhibitors area
at the annual Hospitalar Exhibition in Brazil which is the Latin
equivalent of Medica.
During this annual event, Leon was responsible for all aspects of
organizing the booth selection, location, design, and setup as well as
his daily 4 times per hour demonstrations (12 noon till 9:00 PM each
day) of Gaumard’s advanced wireless Birthing Simulators Victoria and
Noelle as well as their Advanced Trauma Simulator Hal 3201 and
many other Gaumard products.
Leon has a unique and ingenious manner in attracting visitors to his
booth by playing Brazilian Samba music on external speakers to
attract people to the Gaumard stand until the demonstrations
commenced. This action brought an average of 100-250 people
surrounding his stand every 15 minutes to witness his presentations
in perfect Spanish and sometimes in Portuguese. In total, during the 4
days, he flawlessly did over 180 births including Caesarian procedures
along with complications using Gaumard’s Victoria & Noelle 575.100
Birthing Simulators to the amazement of all those witnessing the
demonstration. At the end of each presentation he was applauded and
the visitors could not stop taking videos and photos in their
amazement of what the simulators were able to do. He then passed out
detailed information, catalogs, cd’s and answered any technical
questions asked. Throughout the day and during his presentations, he
also had a video loop of complicated birthing procedures playing on a
large Plasma TV behind the simulators.
As a result of his outstanding presentation skills and extensive
knowledge of simulation, he was able to demonstrate the differences
between Gaumard simulators and those of their competitors based
solely on their quality and specifications rather than price.

2. These actions made his booth consistently stand out from all the rest
in the Florida Exhibitors section which included approximately 10
other Florida based companies.
In light of all this, I am extremely pleased to recommend him to any
company seeking a seasoned Vice President of International Sales, who
is a self-starter that does not mind getting his hands dirty when
necessary and knows how to form and train an International sales
department from inception to complete functionality.
