3. What are Podcasts? Podcasts are digital files (usually audio, but can also be video) that can be downloaded or listened to over the internet. What is the official definition of learning? Learning is the act or process of acquiring knowledge or skill.

4. Why would I use a Podcast in the classroom? To create your work that reinforces topics discussed in class. To look back at events of the past and be able to hear/view them. To allow students to work in groups and create their own finished product and demonstrate mastery of skill. To meet the needs of students who are auditory and visual learners. To keep the lines of communication open between teachers and students.

6. How do I create a podcast? Go to www.podomatic.com Listen to this podcast , made by me. It should help in the creation of your very first podcast.

7. There are many terrific sites that are subject specific. Many of these Podcasts can be used after one initial unit is started, in order to reinforce material. 8. How could one use a Podcast to enhance learning in a Social Studies classroom (my area of content)? Prior to teaching about America's involvement in World War Two, a teacher can use the following podcast as an anticipatory set. FDR announces that Pearl Harbor has been attacked. Click here to listen (skip to 1:30) This podcast allows students to feel the passion in a FDR's voice, prior to declaring way on Japan and Germany in 1941.
