Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the
progression from it to the full product?

2. From doing the preliminary task to doing the full project was a lot different. It
require a lot more planning and care to actually do, there was a lot more work
involved to make sure that the film went right. I think it is good that there was
so much planning involved because then the filming would not be done until
everybody knew exactly what there job was and what they were supposed to
do in the film. The preliminary task involved a few simple shots and a short
amount of speech, progressing onto the opening two minutes of a film has
taught me what types of shots to use, e.g. where to place the camera, what
angle the camera should be at, how the lighting in the scene should be. Also
moving from the preliminary to the main task has taught me the important of
continuity when it comes to film making, because even the slightest thing that
has changed stands out so much to me now so I realise how important it is to
keep everything exactly how it was. In our film in the fight scene we had to re
film part of it and in the first part Thomas had his hood down, and in the part
we had to re-record Thomas had his hood down, even though it’s only a minor
detail that very few people will pick up on, I still notice it and if we were to do
this project again we would make sure that everything is the same as last time
to avoid any continuity errors like this.
