Here are three ways to correct a fused sentence:
• Make two complete sentences( period + capital)
(We had fun today. We played a new game.)
• Use a semicolon
(We had fun today; we played a new game.)
• Use a comma and a conjunction (must have both)
(We had fun today, since we played a new game.)
