How to Use EBSCO Business Database Tutorial.

2. Go to http://library.devry.edu and click on EBSCOhost

3. Please Login and follow these instructions for full access to the database. After you login, you can update your personal profile.

5. Go to Sign In. You will want to make a personal file to store your resources for later use.

6. Click I’m A New User

8. How to Find and Save Articles.

9. These are the many options you have to choose from when researching a company. We chose this company for example purposes. Click Search.

10. The database brings up the closest match. Click on the box next to the match, put And in the small box, then click Add.

11. The information appears, click Search

12. There are over 5,000 Results Here are the Results. You can limit your Results by narrowing choices down by Specialty, Format or Subject. Just click on the arrow to enlarge options. We will click on Consolidation to give us articles only on Dell’s Consolidation .

13. Now there are only 132 Results Click the Article Name for the abstract. To read the article, click on Full Text. If it does not have a Full Text link, it is only an Abstract, or short summary of the article.

14. Here is the article. You can Save, e-Mail, Add to your Folder and Print it. You can also have it Translated to other major languages

16. To save the article, click on Folder.

17. The open folder icon means there are saved articles. You can Delete them as well.

18. How to Find Company Data

19. To learn more about a company, click on Company Profiles. Industry Profiles are also available.

20. Put in company name and click on Browse

21. Click on Datamonitor Report. If you click on Company Name, you will only have an abstract.

22. Here is information you will generally find which includes SWOT, Competitors, Revenue Analysis Products, and more. Make sure the information is up to date.

23. If you are going to be researching , or working for, a foreign or multi-national corporation, the government, an NGO, or starting a business elsewhere, you will want to view Country Reports. You will find a well rounded overview of information from intelligence, economic, political ,and cultural, sources.
