The UIT is responsible for the overall development of Kota city, including designing the urban pattern, acquiring land, and planning residential and commercial schemes. It also plans and develops sport facilities in the city, including acquiring land and constructing stadiums. The document then discusses considerations for stadium site selection and design, including the functional requirements and design of sports fields for activities like cricket.

5. Design Model of stadium
Site selection
Functional Analysis
Field Designing
Seat Design
6.
7. The stadium site must be convenient and
readily accessible from the strategic points and
transport stations of the city.
Comparatively level and well drained area.
Free from strong wind currents.
The site should also be away from air fields,
fire station, hospital, factories, rail road or
other building and disturbing factors of odor,
noise, dust and smoke.
Residential area should also be avoided.
8. Functional Analysis:-
Area is the central feature of design.
Each element in the set up has a specific function to
perform.
Diagrammatic analysis of fundamental requirement
their inter relationship and circulation aspect for
spectator.
The efficiency and economy depend upon size of
stadium & arrangement in the integrated whole.
9.
10. o In the Construction of stadium the mainly
component is designing of field, Because the
proper field design is necessary in stadium
construction.
o In the different type of sports required different
type of field, But mostly game are require
plane field like as Cricket, Football, volleyball,
tennis Etc. In golf game the plane field are not
required.
o After complete the planning of field the main
work is clean and green the ground.
11.
12. Cricket field required approximately 400ft. area in
diameter.
Cricket:-
13.
14. Orientation of field- Average latitude 30º N is
taken.
Grading –Providing suitable net work of
catchment drains
Drainage- Required slope 1%to 3%
16. Turfing:- Grass is the most & best cover for field.
Running track-
(a)soling layer
(b)middle layer
(c)top dressing
Sand pits:-it used for jumping events.
Stabilized soils:-loose soil should be stabilized.
Abrasive materials:-Crushed stone,bajree,gravel
Bituminous concrete:-Bajree & crused stone +
Bitumen=hard non resilient surface.
Cement concrete plain:-1:2:4
17. Orientation of seat:-
A building on the
west and south
sides of stadium.
18.
19. In Foot ball game distance of visible is from 600
to 700ft.
In cricket & hockey game visible distance from
500 to 600ft.
20. The space allowed for each seat lenthwise in
row is between 11to 18½ inches.
Height of seats from floor is approximately 14
to 18 inches.
The avg. seat taken 3.1 sq ft floor space.
21. Types of seats:-
(1) No over hang.
(2) Over hang.
(3) Full over hang.
(4) Seats with backs.
