Louise Smith was employed as an instructional designer at Chisholm Online from 22 July 2014 to 31
December 2015. During this time, Louise used her instructional design and multimedia development
skills to create interactive resources for two VET qualifications, the Diploma of early Childhood
Education and Care, and the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Louise showed a capability and willingness to work on projects in an agile environment. She
consistently met very tight deadlines, and produced a high volume of work in a short period of time.
She worked in a high-trust environment where attendance in the office was only required one day
per week, with all other work being completed off-site. Louise used Dropbox to submit her work
and update the team with her progress.
Louise liaised with subject matter experts, assessment specialists, an educational technologist, other
instructional designers, and administrative and management staff to ensure that she fulfilled all her
responsibilities in a timely manner.
Louise’s contract has not been renewed due to a drop in demand for instructional design skills as the
business transitions from its start-up phase to an operational one.
I recommend Louise highly for her technical skills, her interpersonal skills, and strong work ethic. I
wish her all the best in her future career.
