1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
2. • I have learnt new skills throughout the process of
constructing my media product, I have learnt how to use new
software and websites that I haven't used before such as
Photoshop, Slide share, Blogger, Survey monkey.
• Photoshop was a large part of the construction of my music
magazine as it provided me with the correct tools to give my
magazine the effect I wanted. I didn’t have a lot of knowledge
of Photoshop previously so I learnt a lot when editing my
images and pages. I used tools such as layering, a gradient
background effect, a shadow and the text tool.
• Another technology I learnt about during the construction of
my product was Slideshare, which I hadn’t previously used
before creating my blog. It was a key part of creating my blog
as it allowed me to upload my Powerpoint presentations onto
my blog, it also showed me how to use HTML and embed the
files that I had created onto my blog.
3. • Blogger was a very important part of the process of
constructing my product. I learnt how to upload and
share all of my work onto my own blog. I also learnt
how to publish and organise my work by using titles
and labels, therefore making it easier for people to
view my work online. Blogger was effective as it made
it quicker and easier for me to share and organise my
work. I hadn’t previously created a blog before
constructing my media product, therefore I learnt how
to create my own account so that I could access my
blog and edit it easily.
• Survey Monkey was another great piece of technology
I learnt from when creating my media product, as I
learnt how to create my own survey. I learnt how to
input my own questions and choose the style of
answer I wanted the consumer to use. I also learnt how
to upload my survey onto Facebook allowing a bigger
audience to answer the questions I had created. Survey
Monkey was very useful as it helped me to find out the
likes and dislikes of my chosen target audience.
