This document discusses music videos that influenced the planning for a final project music video. It summarizes two videos: [1] Marina and the Diamonds' "Oh No!" provided inspiration through its frequent pop art and vibrant colors, which fit the funky style of AlunaGeorge. [2] Rizzle Kicks' "Lost Generation" influenced the technical filming through its use of jump cuts, which give it an energetic music video feel. The document analyzes elements from these videos that could inspire costume, setting, and editing techniques for the final project video.
2. Throughout this project me and my group have
looked at several music videos that could possibly
inspire our one and that we could feed ideas from.
We obviously didn't want to copy them fully but we
wanted some inspiration to influence some really
good ideas. Here's some of the videos I chose and
some reasons as to why they inspired me...
3. MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS- OH NO!
What I found was a really big influence in this for
out video was the frequent use of pop art that she
uses. As AlunaGeorge are quite a funky duo and
make happy and bubbly music, me and my group
agreed that pop art text would go hand in hand with
our music video.
Another feature of this video which I thought would
inspire our music video is the vibrant colours that
she uses for both the costume and setting. Much
like the pop art, this reflects AlunaGeorge's
character and type of music.

5. RIZZLE KICKS- LOST GENERATION
I thought that Rizzle Kicks Lost Generation had a
strong influence on the way in which I want our
music video to be filmed technically, as oppose to
the inspiration of setting and costume that the
Marina and the Diamonds video. Although I'm not
really a fan of Rizzle Kicks themselves, I like the
editing that they use in this video. For example, I
really like the jump cuts that they use, and they use
them a lot throughout this video. I feel as though
jump cuts are very important as they give it a very
music video feel to it.
