I work as a tutor, teacher, adviser and editor in English and Creative Writing – CRW 150, and ESL 1017
& 108, English 101 & 102 and maintained success and retention as well as total satisfaction for the multi-
cultural students that I have been privileged to serve. I also advised students for enrollment and
transferability into universities. I prepped students for advisement into fall semester courses at Mesa

have experience as a Learning Enhancement Facilitator based on tutoring students one on one for Mesa
Community College.
I have a total of eight years’ experience in teaching & tutoring of students in developmental courses,
rhetoric and composition and I also assisted in teaching creative writing skills for short stories, poetry and
memoirs at the Awka College of Education, Awka, Nigeria from 1990 -1998. My experience in
advisement comes in handy for higher education because at the South Mountain Community College in
the year 2012-2014, during my graduate studies in Educational Leadership, I gained experience in my
research work in the pilot program PAAS – Peer Advising Academic Program which enabled me to fulfill
the obligation of advising students for assessment and evaluation in developmental courses, reading,
writing, test-taking & researched learning and implementation intervention strategies.
I also, improved their writing through teaching and diligent guidance of students as well as in the
individualized education planning for non-traditional students and first generation students. In my spare
time, I edit essays, teach students and serve them in the improvement of strategies related to test skills. I
