Beacon is a child sexual abuse prevention program for staff and volunteers in intercollegiate athletic programs. Beacon is based on, and an extension of, the mis-
sion, expertise and best research-based practices
of Family & Children’s Place. The goal is to devel-
op and market Beacon to expand and strengthen
child sexual abuse prevention and to provide an
efficient source of revenue for Family & Children’s
Place.
Beacon is currently in development, seeking a
collegiate partner by November 2012 and launch
of a pilot in February of 2013. The pilot partner will
serve three purposes: testing and development,
pricing and marketing and endorsement.
