Computer Engineering
 For the past 20 years, an explosion in computer
technology has caused nearly every aspect of our
lives to be driven by a computer. With the increasing
need for computers and systems to interact
efficiently, a new wave of technology is expected to
continue and accelerate this trend into the future.
    Professionals whose knowledge integrates expertise
from both the electrical engineering and computer
science fields will be in high demand. Computer
engineers meet this demand by combining expertise
in low-level software, high-level hardware and
integrated system design. Which is why I am want to
    be a computer engineer.
Degree Requirements
 The curriculum consists of 128 credit hours. Lower
division requirements include at least 60 hours of
pre-engineering credits. Up to 90 academic credits
may be transferred from an ABET accredited
institution of higher education. In addition, all
students must meet the University Foreign
Language Requirement, must pass the CLAST or

      university requirements for graduation.
Why College is Required

 All of the highest paying jobs require a college
       degree.

 Jobs for college graduates include better
benefits, such as health insurance and retirement
       plans.

 College graduates have half the unemployment
rates of high school graduates and better job
       security.

 There are many more jobs available for college
       graduates than high school graduates.
Good Quote about
                              Education
 In our democracy every young
    person should have an equal
    opportunity to obtain a higher
    education, regardless of his
    station in life or financial
    means.
    – President John F.
    Kennedy
