40. MPs to taste award-winning beer
A Shropshire brewery is to have one of its beers put on
sale at the House of Commons.
Hobson’s Mild will be the guest beer in the Strangers Bar in the run up to Christmas after a
request by MP for Ludlow, Philip Dunne.
The beer is brewed in his constituency in Cleobury Mortimer, near Ludlow, and was voted the
best in Britain at the Great British Beer Festival in August.
The 3.2% drink was described by judges as having "plenty of
hop character".
It was selected ahead of more than 50 beers, some made by
major brewers, in eight different categories.
"It is good to see a decade of hard work bearing fruit so well in
my constituency," Mr Dunne said.
The Hobson's Brewery was established in 1993.
