2. Biografía
Bianca Marroquin was born in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León and raised on the border between Matamoros, Tamaulipas and Brownsville, Texas.
She began her career in Mexico City D.F. in the productions of Beauty and the Beast by Walt Disney, Rent, Phantom of the Opera, The Vagina Monologues and
Chicago.
For her portrayal of Roxie Hart in Chicago, Bianca received 5 awards by the Mexican Critics including Revelation of the Year and Best Actress.
In the summer of 2002, Bianca was invited to do a crossover from Mexico to New York, doing her Broadway debut with the English version of Roxie Hart and then
joining the Chicago Tour throughout the United States and Canada which in 2004 she received Helen Hayes Award in Washington, DC
After a tour of almost 2 years she officially moves to NY to continue succeeding in her career.
Creates the character of Carmen in the revival of the classic 2006 Tony-winning musical, Pajama Game starring Harry Connick, Jr.
Her perseverance and talent have been very important factors that have allowed her to repeatedly return a numerous amount of times to the Broadway Company
of Chicago and have the opportunity to share the stage with actors like George Hamilton, Patrick Swazey, Gregory Harrison, Tom Wopat, Wayne Brady, Patty
LaBelle, Usher, Kevin Richardson, Huey Lewis and Joey Lawrence.
She was invited to record in the special edition album of the tenth anniversary of Chicago singing a medley of 3 songs of the character Roxie in Spanish, sharing
credits in the album with artists such as Liza Minnelli, Brooke Shields and Melanie Griffith.
In April 2008 The Consulate General of Mexico in New York gives Bianca recognition for her successful work as an actress on the Broadway play Chicago.
In the same year, Bianca achieves her American TV debut on the soap opera One Life to Live. And additionally other musical theater credits in the U.S. like “and the
World Goes Round” in the Barrington Stage Company Theatre and “Bye Bye Birdie” as the character of Rose Alvarez in the North Shore Music Theatre for which she
won an IRNE award for best musical theatre actress.
After a six year absence from the Mexican stage, Bianca returns to Mexico with an autobiographical concert in October 2008 “Solo Pido” for which she receives
an award for best foreign show by the APT.
In March 2009, she marks her official return to Mexico City with the premier of the classic musical The Sound of Music “La Novicia Rebelde” as Maria Reiner.
In the summer of that same year, she returns to Broadway to join the company of In the Heights in the character of Daniela.
In the fall of 2010 she also participated as a judge on the reality TV show "Mira Quien Baila", broadcasted on Univision Networks, with explosive ratings.
She is currently taking a theatrical career break after another successful season in Chicago on Broadway.
On April of this year she is invited to be one of the jurors in the new reality show by TELEVISA "Pequeños Gigantes" program that airs every Sunday in Mexico
and Latin America, reaching record ratings.
Parallel to this she has begun recording her first starring role in a soap opera in Mexico, produced by Luis de Llano, which will be broadcasted in
over 65 countries around the world.

del Corazón”, getting a starring role and sharing cast with figures such as Lucía Méndez,
Agustín Arana, Patricio Borguetti, Lisardo, Laureano Brizuela, Julissa, Marisol del Olmo,
Mane de la Parra among others. The melodrama is produced by Luis de Llano, and is
projected to be transmitted to more than 65 countries, she hopes to attract a broad
hispanic audience on her return to Broadway next year.
