If you don’t want your students correct the homework as self-assessment, choose one exercise at page 92.
Show students the designs and ask them to give their opinion by using a comparative structure. More able pupils should give the full sentence, prompt middle ability pupils (give an example first), less able pupils can just give the word.
Revise the adjectives with students.
Show pupils the rule and make sure they know the English meaning.
Ask students to write down two sentences comparing the items of clothing.
Start showing the title. Ask students what is the meaning of that symbol. Tell them that it is the most famous Spanish department store (el almacen) where they can find Spanish brands such as Zara. Show students the first image and ask them to describe the item. As they don’t know the vocabulary yet, prompt them with the correct words which are in bold. Ask pupils to repeat the words and write them down in their cuadernito.
Ask students to compare the items of clothing writing down two sentences. Point out the price in euros, the symbol and the comma.
Ask pupils the question in the title in English. Ask them the reason for which they prefer an item. “the printed dress because it’s the most beautiful” could be an answer. Prompt less able students with an example shown in the following slide.
Show students the example and start questioning about the rules. Discuss with them. Why different colours? What does the symbol+ mean?
(Look at the animation!!!!! One square is covered by the other.) Tell students that when expressing their opinion saying the reason they like something most they need to use the superlative. Show the rules.
Ask students the questions. Show them the two rule patterns. Prompt less able students with an example.
Remind them the agreement.
Pupils listen to the exercise n.1 page 82, mira 2.
Pupils do the exercise in pairs.
Print the worksheet. Students glue it in their books.
Students watch the video. Ask to complete the worksheet. Ask them what is the meaning of the word pesos.
Show students the title. Show the images and have them guess what they have to do. Students work in pairs to make a dialogue based on the previous one. Book is still open, so less able students can use it for reference. More able students are encouraged to use a variety of connectives and adjectives and add the items of clothing they are buying. When finished, asked some pairs to perform.
