CAREER OBJECTIVE:
I seek to obtain employment in the exercise and sports management field, and to utilise and build on
previous internship and university learning experiences. I am in the process of completing a Bachelor
of Management in Sport and Exercise at UTS. My ultimate goal is to become successful in the sport
management industry, whether it be in sports marketing, communication and media, sport event
management, sporting goods industry or individual/team player management. I am also passionate
about fulfilling my ultimate goal of representing Australia in Athletics at the Commonwealth and
Olympic Games.
SKILLS:
Time Management:
As afull time university student, part time worker and full time athlete I have had to manage my time
extremely efficiently. My weekly schedule is extremely well structured to enable me to do justice to
all my current obligations, responsibilities and athletic goals. I self manage effectively and have
excellent organisational and time management skills.
Teamwork:
As a member of many Athletic and Surf Lifesaving teams over the years I have always shown a
complete dedication to being a team player. I have always readily participated in teams when
selected and have always put in my best performances for the teams.
I very much work in a team environment at the YMCA. It is very much a family environment and as
staff we are all about making the YMCA members feel at home and welcome. I am always ready to
step in for staff when they are unavailable or to go the extra distance to accommodate clients with
rescheduling of personal training classes and the like.
Working at the Penrith Panthers is also a team oriented role.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills are essential for any role involving the public. I have many years of
experience in customer service at a local eat- in cafe. I now work at the Epping YMCA where I not
only conduct personal training (both individual and group sessions), but also have a customer service
role at the counter, addressing all membership enquiries. I have excellent interpersonal skills with
the public, a happy disposition and an ability to relate to people from all backgrounds and walks of
life.

2. Leadership:
I have had many leadership roles, commencing with being elected school captain in primary school
in 2003. I was elected Junior Captain at Terrigal Surf Club in 2005, and Inter Branch Captain of Central
Coast Lifesaving in the same year. At High School I was a member of the SRC for 5 years culminating
in being elected School Captain in 2009. I have also been awarded the Pierre de Coubertin Award,
Central CoastYouth of the Year (2009), Sport Central Coast AustraliaDay Award (2010), Central Coast
Young Champions Award (2011), Central Coast Female Athlete of the Year (2012) and Team Manager
UTS Athletics Team (2014).
In all these roles I have always engaged effectively with fellow school members, team members and
competitors, always providing them with support, motivation, information and appropriate
management. I have excellent communication skills which enable me to relate to all ages and show
empathy and encouragement to everyone I come in contact with. I can be relied upon to do the right
thing by all under my charge and responsibility.
