Have your Say-
the power of
the vote
I found out that I
could use this from
Ms Molynuex page.
In 2010, only 44% of
18- to 24-year-
olds voted,
while 76% of those
aged 65+ cast their
vote.
Groups with the
lowest turnout rates
– the youngest and
the poorest – faced
cuts of 20% in their
annual household
income, while those
who were more
likely to vote – older
and richer voters –
saw their budgets
fall by 12%.
Students tuition
fees may rise to
£27000. for a three
year course.

Does Prolonged

24% of people that use Smartphone

life.
The total amount of media use by youth
ages 12 to 18 averages 6-plus hours a
day—more than any other activity
Of particular concern is the amount of
TV kids consume. From 2004 to 2009,
television and video use averaged three
to five hours per day, peaking between
the ages of 11 and 14, a crucial period
for kids' social development. Fifty-four
percent of teens send text messages,
and one third of teens send more than
100 text messages per day.
One third talk face-to-face with friends,
around the same percentage that talk on
cell phones (38 percent) and land lines
(30 percent)
.Twenty-four percent communicate with
friends via instant messages
.Twenty-five percent contact friends via
social networking sites.
Eleven percent use e-mail.

How does pop
culture affect
youth of now.
I just thought
of it on the
spot.
600 films were watched by 5000
students and these films played a
major role in their decision making.
For example it made them drink at a
young age. MTV and various musical
channels act as medium to reach out
to teenagers. Business companies
exploit the popularity of music to sell
products to teenagers, but not
everyone exploits music for profit.
Some teenagers use music as outlet
for expression and creativity. Music,
in a general view, has been a large
part of popular culture. According to
MinTheCap website "This [pop
culture] music appeals to the flesh
because teens like to hear it" Music
can be abused by artists or used as a
medium to reach out for positive
causes.
