Originally slated to be operational by mid-2014, but the project is currently held up in litigation. Unknown Allen Husky Energy Sanctioned a new crude oil flexibility project at its refinery in Lima, which will allow for the processing of up to 40,000 barrels per day of heavy crude feedstock from Western Canada starting in 2017. $300 million Ashtabula Pinto Energy (now operating as a subsidiary of Velocys) The 2,800-barrel-per-day refinery is expected to be operational by early 2016. Expected to result in 30 direct jobs and 112 indirect jobs. $200–300 million Belmont Oil & Gas Safety Supply Store Pennsylvania retailer expanded into Ohio with its second store. Unknown Belmont Jeru Real Estate Plans for construction of 10,000-square-foot houses in the Barnesville area that the oil and gas industry can lease to workers in need of housing. There are additional plans to construct a Days Inn and Suites in Morristown that will have 76 rooms. Unknown Belmont Great Plains Oilfield Rentals (affiliate of Chesapeake Energy) Drilling equipment rental business from Buckhannon, WV, moved its operations to St. Clairsville in October 2012 to be close to Chesapeake’s drilling activity. Unknown Belmont Purple Land Management Texas-based land company opened its second Ohio office in St. Clairsville in late 2013. Unknown Belmont Cafaro Company Two new extended-stay hotels are planned near the Ohio Valley Mall due to the needs of the oil and gas industry. Construction on a five-story Candlewood Suites began in the summer of 2014. Unknown Belmont M&M Pump and Supply Expanding existing operations due to the oil and gas boom in the Ohio Valley. Unknown Belmont, Harrison and Jefferson PVR Partners LP Constructing a 45-mile natural gas gathering pipeline system for Hess Energy Corp. Scheduled to be operational in late 2014. $125–150 million Butler NTE Solutions Plans to construct Middletown Energy Center natural gas-fired power plant that is expected to create 30 permanent jobs once operations begin in 2018. $500 million

Unknown Carroll Carroll County Energy LLC A subsidiary of Advance Power Services Inc. intends to construct a natural-gas fueled electric plant, the Carroll County Energy Generation Facility, which would produce enough electricity to power 700,000 homes. Would create 500 construction jobs and 25-30 full-time jobs.
