A recent effort to discriminate against a $15,000 scholarship offered by the Marcellus Shale Coalition by several anti-drilling professors begs the question, if you won't accept from one, you should not accept from any. Their action threatens all of these scholarships.

positions through which they can contribute to society, be out
about their sexual orientation, and act as role models for other
gay men with similar potential. Bread & Roses Community
Fund adminsters the scholarship fund as a part of our larger
mission for social justice in the Deleware Valley.

$1000 toward tuition for the spring semester to seven
students who are enrolled full-time and have completed at
least one semester at the College. Qualified applicants must
also have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
American Food & American Food & Vending provides $2500 toward tuition to N/A
Vending CAHM two students in the Culinary Arts program. Students must hold

Anne and Andrew The Anne and Andrew Abel Scholarship for Creative Writing N/A

Murphy and Cecil 2013 semester. The book scholarship is for use at the
Watkins College’s Book Store. To be eligible, students must have
earned 12 or more credits, have a minimum cumulative GPA
of 2.5, and be enrolled, full-time or part-time, in one of the
following Social Science programs: Paralegal Studies,

Doris Weiss Doris Weiss began taking classes at the College in 1987. As N/A
Memorial a senior citizen, she brought with her an extensive background
Scholarship for Art in the arts and was a wonderful addition to the Art
Majors department’s classes, as well as an inspiration for the
students. Her focus at the College was in painting and
ceramics. Upon her death in January 1993, a memorial
exhibition of her many art works was held at the College. Her
children presented the College with a grant from her estate in
order to set up a scholarship in her name for art students.
Dr. Edward Dr. Edward Anderson was the founding director of the N/A
Anderson College’s Division of Economics and Business
Scholarship Administration, serving as professor from 1965 until his death
(Business in June of 1972. Dr. Anderson was highly regarded for his

administrator, entrepreneur, marketing expert and artist. It was

Goldschlager Future The Goldshlager Future Teacher Award is presented annually N/A
Teacher Scholarship to one student to encourage future study in the field of
Award education and teacher preparation. Applicant must have
completed 30 credits by the end of the Spring semester of the
year in which the application is submitted. Applicant must be
enrolled in the Education curriculum. Applicant must have a

Goldsmith-Irby The Goldsmith-Irby Scholarship, supported by the Community N/A
Scholarship College of Philadelphia Alumni Association, provides a
maximum award of up to $250 toward tuition, to a student
pursuing his/her associate's degree at Community College of
Philadelphia. Scholarship funds will be applied directly to the

John C. Bogle The John C. Bogle Pathways Scholarship provides up to $500 N/A

individuals returning to college and pursuing a postsecondary
degree to enhance their lives and achieve their career goals.
Scholarship is contingent upon the student's enrollment
status, GPA, and the explicit understanding that recipient
completes their associates degree in the allotted amount of

Lucy K. Gaines The Lucy K. Gaines Scholarship for Dual Admissions N/A

programs.
Patricia B. Dixon Dawn Dixon Carr, daughter of Patricia Dixion, established this N/A
Scholarship scholarship to provide financial support to a student attending
Community College of Philadelphia in pursuit of an associate
degree. Specifically, this award is for a student who recently
graduated from an inner city high school, will be in his or her
first year at Community College of Philadelphia, and who is
attending college to pursue a degree wherein upon
graduation, will be in a profession that focuses in assisting,
educating, or serving in communities where its citizens are
impoverished and in need of an array of social services. This
scholarship is given to support the student who believes in
giving back to his or her community and in helping others
selflessly.
Philadelphia The Philadelphia Concierge Association Book Award provides N/A

designed to increase the involvement of students of Asian and
Hispanic origins in the Early Childhood Education program.
The Ruth Homles Bacon Minority Student Fellowship provides
up to $1,500 toward tuition to a current student at the College
pursuing an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
Scholarship funds will be applied directly to the recipient's
tuition account. Students of Asian and Hispanic descent

The Benson Jacobs The Benson Jacobs Quinn Scholarship was established in N/A
Quinn Scholarship memory of Rose and Herb Jacobs and Emma and John
Quinn, who cherished education. This scholarship is intended
to support a low-income student who values education and is
pursuing an associate’s degree.
The Jane Pepper The Jane G. Pepper Scholarship provides $400 toward tuition N/A
Scholarship to one student who is committed to beautifying and protecting
our planet Earth. Applicants must participate in community
endeavors associated with environmental issues. This award
is open to students who completed, or are currently enrolled
in Earth Science 111 – Environmental Conservation during the

The Robert S. King The Robert S. King Scholarship awards a two-year N/A
