☺ "Stress is the psychological, physiological and behavioral
response by an individual when they perceive a lack of equilibrium
between the demands placed upon them and their ability to meet
those demands, which, over a period of time, leads to ill-health."
☺ Contrary to popular belief, stress itself is never a good thing.
☺ It is always harmful.
☺ You need discern the difference between pressure, which spurs
you into action and helps you to perform at your peak, and stress,
which impedes your performance, and has long-term health
implications.
☺ Stress is produced by own feelings and reactions to certain
external events, rather than by the events themselves.
☺ This means that once you recognize how you respond to certain
situations, you can change your response to one that is more
helpful and productive.
