By advertising your business, you will be able to draw in
more customers. Since customers provide you with sales,
you will need to make sure that you, not only have a solid
customer base, but also have a constantly increasing
number of customers.
In a competitive economy, you will need to remember that
marketing is even more important. There are plenty of
other businesses that are looking to gain customers, and
you will have to except that you have competition.

4. Marketing cannot be generic. Remember that, in order to
have a successful marketing strategy, you will need to
customize your plan of approach to your possible
customer base.
Consider the type of customers that you are trying to
attract, and then provide marketing materials that will
actually appeal to them. In addition, consider the
geographic placement of your potential customer
base, and then market to them only. There is no need in
spending large amounts of your budget wasting materials
on people that will never become customers.

5. When creating a marketing plan, you have to set realistic
goals. All too often, small business owners expect far too
much from their marketing strategy. When it does not live
up to their expectations, they will often give up.
For a plan to work, you must be ready to give it time and
attention. This means you will need to create a long-term
marketing plan that will raise business in the now and in
the future. You will also have to be patient and give the
plan time to develop.

difference between success and failure. Marketing is what
draws in customers. If people have never heard of your
business, what chance do you really have at drawing them
in?
In order to market effectively, you must create a good plan;
follow that plan with patience and responsibility, and
