Differentiators:
The value of a software solution can be calculated in a number of ways. Primarily, low cost is
the key factor in the migration from hardware systems to software solutions. Eliminating
expensive hardware reduces capital costs by eliminating the typical stove-pipe system.
Additionally, it consumes less power, requires less maintenance and increases redundancy and
survivability. Eliminating the majority of hardware in a system also makes the solution highly
scalable and far easier to take on-the-move or to set up deployable command centers.
OmniSHIELD cuts operational costs by offering multiple session support and thereby allowing
an operator to act as an entire command center. Operators can participate in active calls or set
up outgoing calls for users in the field. Each operator can create multiple sessions with up to 24
participants in each session.
Figure 2: OmniSHIELD eliminates the stovepipe system by combing 6+ systems into a single user interface.
Secure City Solutions understands the extent to which bandwidth is at a premium in command
centers and on-the-move operations. Coming out above its toughest competitors, OmniSHIELD
boasts superior performance, using only 1/5th
of the bandwidth usage due to unique software
design and compression. Low bandwidth allows for increased quality in video streaming and for
more calls and sessions at a time.
Further, OmniSHIELD is ancillary agnostic. Our systems work with 99% of cameras and
radios, allowing our customers the freedom to choose the equipment that is most well-suited to
their specific needs. Secure City Solutions products integrate a variety of ancillaries simply via
plug and play.
A built-in soft audio recorder allows accessibility to recordings from anywhere, eliminating the
typical hardware box. Audio recording can be saved locally or to a central server, both with
metadata playback available.
