3. This picture of Niagara Falls in Ontario shows our close
connection with our neighbour country, the United States of
America. It can also be a symbol of the purity of our country,
a place with kind and thoughtful people. The green flora
around shows how we flourish from this purity. I actually
took this picture myself when I was at Niagara Falls on the
Oshkosh Trip with the Cadet Program in 2010. I miss
Ontario as it had some beautiful places.

5. This picture of the La Have Islands in Nova Scotia displays
the serene quiet you can find in the Canadian outdoors. The
still of the water shows our respect for nature around us, an
undisturbed world. Trees line the water, showing us the
growth you can find in Canada. The clouded sky illustrates
how even during dull times, there is beauty. I know that the
Maritimes in Canada are a beautiful and breathtaking place
for landscapes. I would love to go to Nova Scotia to live and
breathe in this wonderful place.

7. This picture of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in British
Columbia overwhelms me with feeling. At first, I feel
nervous at the sheer size that the mountains truly are. Next, I
am curious as to how much fun it would be to go soaring
within these mountains. Finally, I am simply amazed at the
mountains’ beauty and might. Perhaps one day, I shall
vacation in the mountains.

9. This picture of the Canadian High Arctic and I am amazed
that such a majestic photograph exists. It is striking with its
lines, colours and shapes. Such a beautiful place fascinates
me! I doubt that I would be able to go on an Arctic
exploration, however, I would love to see more snapshots of
the Arctic in the future.

11. To finish, this is a picture of the Prairies in Saskatchewan, my
homeland and province. Compared to the others, this picture
is simple with plain lines and few colours. Yet, I feel like this
is my favourite out of the five. This is what I love, the beauty
of simplicity at home. Everything is as it should be.
Saskatchewan will always be home, no matter where I live.
