EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
I have a strong passion for the environmental sciences with interests in water
quality, soil management, hazardous site assessments, and GIS analysis. My
knowledge from Saint Mary’s College has helped prepare me to take on a
diverse work load. My GIS course in college gave me valuable knowledge of
ArcGIS and ENVI. Since working at Tetra Tech, I have gained hands-on
experience in using these mapping programs and, additionally, I have learned
how to utilize AutoCAD. I have been hoping to further my opportunities and
knowledge in hazardous site and sediment control assessments since I have
started at Tetra Tech. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to do so as few of
those kinds of projects have come up here in Lafayette. I have the desire to
become a project manager and be responsible for my own team of scientists.
As I hope to continue to work for Tetra Tech, I am excited for any career
opportunities within the company that will continue to challenge me. I hope I
can continue to be a reliable asset to the company for years to come.
EXPERIENCE
Analytical Work and Technical Assistance to Support Strategic
Basin planning for the Ganga River Basin in India.
Tasks Performed: Technical writing for proposal, historical and data
research on the Basin
Lesser Prairie Chicken Study.
Tasks Performed: Flying in helicopters to conduct aerial studies for
Lesser Prairie Chicken habitats. Used GPS to conduct ground
surveys for company parcels. WAFWA vegetation surveys done at
approved well locations.
TMDL CONSENT, NON-CONSET DECR.
Tasks Performed: Sampled for total Hg, MeHg, and other
constituents for this project. Sampling took place in Suisun Bay, CA
Monarch LiDAR.
Tasks Performed: QA/QC for numerous images, added layers,
breaklines, and other features.
Alaska Gina/Susitna. Tetra Tech was contracted by the Alaska
Department of Natural Resources (ADNR) to provide GIS services for
geodatabase compilation related to hydrographic studies for a new
hydroelectric dam. Major project components include digitization of and
geoprocessing to create new layers, FGDC metadata creation and
QA/QC, integration of new layers into existing geodatabases, and other
GIS geodatabase management tasks, all per ADNR standards. Recent
tasks include digitization and linear referencing of the Susitna River,
tributary, channel, and slough centerlines, and digitization of Susitna
River reaches. Tetra Tech has also been tasked with map creation
detailing environmental monitoring stations and hydrographic features, as
well as land use and critical infrastructure.
Tasks Performed: QA/QC for numerous images, added layers,
uploaded images/ points into AutoCAD map and Civil 3D.

Tasks Performed: Used Civil 3D to uploaded and reconfigure points and boundaries in numerous
images.
Xcel-Valmont and Pawnee ALF Tech Support
Tasks Performed: Groundwater monitoring well investigations determining data suitability and
analysis/interpretation of Sen slope analysis, perform additional statistical analysis of data using statistical
routines that are more appropriate to the actual data characteristics, help write a letter report describing
results of the Sen slope analysis and any additional analysis performed in Manages software.
Oil Pipeline Experiment.
Tasks performed
CCWQP (Central Coast Water Quality Program)
Tasks Performed: Data analysis for final reports, report writing, and stormwater and sediment sampling
done at Pillar Point AFB in Half Moon Bay, CA
San Francisco Bay Delta Action Plan.
Tasks Performed: Sampled for total Hg, MeHg, and other constituents for this project. Sampling took
place at difference agricultural field in central California area. Report writing for final report.
Feasibility of Restoration and Renewable Energy Generation in the Salton Sea. The Salton Sea, a large
terminal, hypereutrohphic lake in Southern California, receives inflows largely through agricultural drainage.
Over the past decade, because of water transfers outside the basin, the inflows have decreased and the lake
area is shrinking with exposed sediment resulting in the potential of dust emission. Tetra Tech is supporting
the Salton Sea Authority, through a grant from the state of California, for the development of a long-term plan
for recovery, which includes components for water quality management, lake elevation stabilization, and
development of regional renewable electricity generation to provide financial support for restoration.
Tasks Performed: Technical writing for the final draft, historical research, created models/graphs to be
used in the restoration plan, and created maps using ArcGIS.
Halliburton Rio Vista Site, CA
Tasks Performed: Soil sampling at old waste site.
Trends in Flows to the California Delta. Using historical precipitation, landuse and streamflow data over the
past century, evaluate trends in stream flows in across multiple stations representing inflows into the Delta.
Understand the magnitude and causes of change under California’s highly variable rainfall patterns.
Tasks Performed: Gathered historical data, complied it for analysis, and created maps of the site locations.
Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for Modeling Turbidity and Salinity in the California Delta. There is a
need for tools to provide rapid responses for water quality parameters to facilitate planning and operations in
the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, for meeting multiple drinking water quality and ecological objectives.
Existing numerical models are computationally demanding and need significant user expertise. We developed
multiple ANNs for capturing the behavior of the Delta Simulation Model (DSM2), for constituents such as salinity
and turbidity, to apply within larger codes that are used for water supply planning in California.
Tasks Performed: Helped prepared models for clients
EPRI Water Availability and Use Website.
Tasks Performed: Updated EPRI website and technical writing to be added to the website.
SENIOR THESIS
Surface Water Contaminants and Toxicity
Testing for water contamination on college campus for senior thesis.
I tested for any levels of toxicity in surface water using a daphnia test. The water samples will be
further tested for lead, zinc, magnesium, mercury, cadmium, and any other possible bacteria. I did all

of the lab work at Saint Mary’s College. The goals of the project are to see if any of the surface run off
contains any contamination, the level of contamination, explore the possibilities ofwhatcould cause any
contamination in the water, the sources ofcontamination, and to see if the pollutants are being captured by the
drains before entering back into Las Trampas Creek.
