SIGN RETAIL LEASES AT MIDTOWN VILLAGE
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (September 12, 2012) – Midtown Village announced today that Tropical
Smoothie Café and Francesca’s Collections, have signed retail leases within the 350,000-square-
foot development. Tropical Smoothie Café, a national food and smoothie chain, will occupy
2,040 square feet in suite 306 and is expected to open in November. Francesca’s Collections, a
women’s specialty retail chain, will occupy 1,300 square feet in suite 217 and is expected to
open in early 2013. Martin Smith and Elizabeth Poindexter with Retail Specialists, Inc. assisted
in the transaction on behalf of Midtown Village, while Chad Atwood with Great South Real
Estate & Development assisted on behalf of Francesca’s Collections.
With more than 300 locations nationwide, Tropical Smoothie Café provides diners with healthier
food choices with a tropical twist. Tropical Smoothie Café offers made-to-order real-fruit
smoothies and gourmet salads, as well as other healthy menu options served in a relaxed and fun
atmosphere. All menu items are prepared to order using fresh ingredients, including real fruit
and only the highest quality meats and cheeses.
Francesca’s Collections, a Houston-based women’s specialty retail chain, currently has more
than 350 locations in 44 states. Francesca’s offers compelling value with a diverse mix of high-
quality apparel, jewelry, accessories and gifts at attractive prices. Known for their upscale and
fashion-forward apparel and accessories, the boutique chain only carries limited quantities of
handpicked items.
