Forms to HRIS:

2. Step1. Work Location Tab
Step 1 Make sure
you are on the
first tab “Work
Location”.
Click the ‘+’ sign
to add a record.
Notice that the
Effective date will
change to today’s
date.
3. Step 2. Effective Date
Enter the correct
effective date in
the box. Hit the
tab key.
4. Step 3. Select the
Action code from the first
drop-down menu on the
action/reason code line.
Once this has been
chosen the Reason space
will be blank.
Step 4. Select the
Reason code from the
second drop-down
menu on the
action/reason code
line.
5. Step 5. Position Number
Step 5. Change the position
number! When an employee changes
departments, he also changes his
position. When the position code is
changed, the location code will
default to the correct location.
Enter the new position number,
preceded b four zeros. Click the small
magnifying glass icon to the right of
the box. This will bring you to the
_________________page. Notice the
new position title along with the
position number, job code and
reports to info is on the bottom of the
page.
Click the number, and this will select
the new position for the employee.
6. Step 6. Next 3 tabs.

Continue on to the
next 3 tabs; Job
Information, Job
Labor, and Payroll.
Check to see if the
Reg/Temp/Seas
status is correct.
Same for the
Full/Part time, emp
class and Classified
indicator.
7. Step 7. Go to the tab marked Salary Plan.
You must enter the step that the
employee is in. DO NOT modify any other
boxes.
8. Step 8. In the Compensation tab, click
the yellow Default Pay Components
button. DO NOT modify any other
boxes.
