Recording and Playback
Ability to record and playback Audio and Web
interactions that occurred during a conference call. At
any given time, the Moderator can record the following:
– Recording of the Audio
– Recording of the Web Conference (presentation, desktop and
application share, etc.)
– Web Conference Notes, Chats, Tags
– Roster Information and Speaker Notification Events
Recordings are synchronized within a single conference
timeline so that during playback the user should be able
to see all of the events that are reflective of the original
meeting.

Audio/Video in Collaboration Agent
Audio and Video in Collaboration Agent provides an easy-to-use,
clientless multimedia collaboration connection that allows
collaboration between non-enterprise users to enterprise users.
When integrated with an Avaya Aura Conferencing site, the
combination of AV in CA provides a multi-modal conferencing
solution whose features are now accessible to any device with a
Flash-enabled web-browser. This feature provides the ability to:
– Join Multi-party conferences, not just point-to-point
– Connect easily using a single-click via an emailed URL
– Provide a Integrated audio, video, and web collaboration without
downloading and installing
Note: This is NOT the One Touch Video offer
– OTV is a point-to-point solution provided by APS
– Some of the OTV technology has been re-used in AAC7, but the
Audio/Video in Collaboration Agent DOES NOT replace the OTV
offer and is not a point-to-point solution and does not in any way
interoperate with OTV

Conferencing 7.2 Deployment layouts
Conferencing 7.2 keeps the same terminology and
number of deployment models introduced with 7.0, as
follows:
1. Co-resident Simplex
2. Co-resident Redundant
3. Standalone Simplex
4. Standalone Redundant

HP DCS Server
(Win2008)
• Requires a minimum of 3 separate servers for a basic AAC 7.2 simplex deployment.
• Only HP server supported for co-resident simplex core server due to new hard disk requirement of
2x300GB, 2x900GB
• DMZ configuration with redundant or split Web and FMG servers allowed
• Web server in DMZ to provide external access to CA and web collaboration
• Flash Media Gateway (FMG) server added for audio/video in CA : typically placed in DMZ to allow
external access

Important considerations for Co-Resident Simplex
The requirement for adding 2x900 Gb hard disks in the
HP server is mandatory for AAC 7.2
AAC 6.0 Dell R610/S8800 can be re-utilized for co-
resident Web Server + FMG server. NOT as the Core
AAC server that must be HP due to the new hard disks
requirement.
Flash Media Gateway (FMG) server functionality is
optional. Only needed if the Audio/Video in CA
functionality is present in the design.
If External access and DMZ is not required, the Web
Server components can be co-resident with the internal
AAC 7.2 server.

Licensing Summary
1. Avaya Aura® Conferencing 7.x product licensing is based on
named/provisioned users. It is NOT based on runtime or concurrent
usage.
2. Currently only one type of user license is available
• Multimedia - Audio/Web/Video - user license
• This license gives the user right to host a conference with an assigned
host code. The user is entitled to use any supported audio
(G.711/722/729) and video* codec, and be a presenter in a web
sharing session.
3. A unique license is required for a user to host a conference; e.g., three
different users hosting conferences at three different times require three
licenses NOT one
4. Number of licenses required = Number of users who will ever host a
conference (AGAIN – licensing is NOT based on concurrent use)
5. User licenses are NOT required for guest users. A Guest user cannot be a
conference moderator.
6. ASD will use a ratio of 10:1 (provisioned users to concurrently active users)
for provisioning the number of media servers and web servers. Additional
capacity can be included by provisioning additional media /web servers.
