Lantern Tips
Nylon lanterns last the longest, although more expensive. They will last for Grand Illuminations year after year.
Paper lanterns with metal frames last longer than those with bamboo frames.
Their life can be extended by spraying the outside with Scotch Guard.
If any lanterns get wet, leave them open and untouched and they will have a better chance of lasting longer.
Solar lanterns need at least 4-6 hours of sunlight to light in the evening.
Check your location to see if you have that much exposure.
The Grand Illumination will be an annual event and your collection can be added to each year. Do not think that
you are expected to have a massive display at first - it is something you grow year to year.
