The Somatosensory Cortex Function and associated substructures

Location The Primary Somatosensory Cortex is located on the PostcentralGyrus. It is the anterior part of the Parietal Lobe and lies behind the Primary Motor Cortex of the Frontal Lobe.

Function Involved in somatic sensation, visual stimuli, and movement planning. ,[object Object]

Those regions that require precise sensation occupy larger areas of the cortex.,[object Object]
