Assignment-I: Habits of Success  <br />A combined write-up has to be submitted by the group.<br />Credits: 2.5<br />As you all know by now that understanding what success is, is a major objective of this course. To know the fundamentals of success based on the success literature for the last few centuries, we will carry out a review of this famous book “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” By Stephen R Covey.<br />So, for that, what you are going to do is:<br /> Divide yourself into seven groups.<br />Each group will pick up one chapter from the book.<br />Divide portions of the chapter among the group members. <br />Each one of you will read your portion; discuss it with other members.<br />Each group will prepare a summary of your-selected chapter of the book.<br />Try to use examples from your daily life/observation, instead of the book.<br />Try to come up with brief points.<br />The summary should not exceed three pages.<br />Instructions for writing down your assignments:<br />The standard formal text should be used, with font size 12. <br />Plagiarism or copy pasting is not allowed, if found marks will be deducted.<br />If used, give proper references of the authors, books, websites etc. at the end, not mentioning the references of authors and books (websites) consulted will get your marks deducted.<br />Instructions for submitting your assignments:<br />Assignments should reach the instructor’s email (nida.zaidi@gmail.com) before 9 PM on 28th September, 2011.<br />Respective hard copies should be submitted within 24 hours.<br />PS: Late submissions will not be accepted.<br />Date Assigned: 22/09/11 <br />Assignment-II: Presenting “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”<br />Individual presentation has to be given by each student.<br />Credits: 2.5<br />You are required to give a presentation to the class based on the review summary of the book “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”. <br />What you have to do is:<br />Each one of you has to prepare your relevant portion of the summary presented by your group<br />Present it using any medium <br />Quote at least two real life examples showing the implication of the respective success habit, in your presentation.<br />The presentation time is 3 mins. for each student, exceeding the time limit will lead to negative marking<br />Tips<br />Be confident<br />Do eye contact<br />Feel free to use your personal space<br />Use body language more often<br />Think organized <br />Speak clearly<br />Presentations will be held in the class on 13th October, 2011.<br />Date Assigned: 22/09/11<br />Group Division<br />Group 1- <br />Inside-out , Seven Habits an overview<br />Group 2 –Habit -1 Be proactive<br />Group 3- Habit- 2 Begin with end in mind<br />Group 4 – <br />Habit- 3 Put first things first<br />Group 5 –<br />Principles of interdependence and  Habit -4  Think win/win<br />Group 6- <br />Habit 5 Seek first to understand then to be understood, and Habit -6 Synergize<br />Group 7-<br />Habit 7 Sharpen the saw, inside out again<br />
