This presentation shows how Multapplied Networks's Bonded Internet™ networking software gives customers an alternative to costly MPLS networks. By bonding ADSL, Cable, T1, and 3G/4G connections with seamless failover - and layering QoS over the traffic - Bonded Internet™ is a clear alternative to MPLS networks.
The service is available globally through service providers to enhance enterprise WANs by leveraging low-cost broadband connections and creating a reliable, cost-effective corporate network that enables the adoption of Cloud-based services.

4. Why Buy Carrier MPLS?
The primary business drivers for MPLS are the need for convergence and
prioritization as companies strive to lower network latency as more and more
of today’s business critical applications help firms achieve a vital competitive
edge.
• Great if cost is not an issue.
• Fantastic if you have sufficient bandwidth at all sites.
• Awesome if Quality of Service (QoS) is only really necessary for some sites.

5. Why Buy Bonded Internet™?
The primary business drivers for Bonded Internet™ are the need to affordably
converge and prioritize applications as companies strive to lower their
network risks, provision sufficient bandwidth for accessing their Cloud
applications, and maintain their competitive edge.
• Ideal for cost-conscious organizations that would rather spend on revenue-
generating efforts
• Ideal for customers for whom uptime is critical
• Bandwidth at each site has to meet a corporate mandate
• Quality of Service is a necessary feature for each site on the network

Quality of Service is a major driver for multi-site enterprises to choose MPLS. However, the most traditional deployment for remote locations (outside of the MPLS footprint) is to put their traffic over the public internet. Are all sites not equal? Does not all transferred data require some level of quality and/or security?
Converge and Prioritize Applications
Lower Network Risks (especially related to downtime and fluctuations in performance)
Have enough bandwidth to be able to compete
Quality of Service: Bonded Internet allocates bandwidth dynamically to accept fluctuating usage of specific applications.
Custom Bandwidth at each site: MPLS is either 100 or 10Mbps (using fiber) or some multiple of 1.44Mbps (for N x bonded T1s)
Note that Multapplied’s business model allows partners to deploy unlimited aggregation servers – making it easy for Bonded Internet providers to scale to meet their customers’ site-count and bandwidth requirements.
Filtered or Metered Internet Access?
Increased Site Bandwidth: Bond multiple connections – achieve 95% of total accumulated bandwidth
Near 100% Uptime: Mix and match providers to spread uptime across multiple networks
Lower Costs: Take advantage of competitive access rates from regional ISPs
Encrypted Traffic: The Internet is only the transport mechanism. Traffic can be encrypted via AES128/256 or SALSA20
All of these ensure enhanced access to the provider’s cloud.
