1. Finally the Appaloosa local news was reporting on the
truth behind the weather, blight and civil unrest.
Why? Because the violence was getting so close to
Appaloosa they couldn't hide it anymore.
And it was getting uglier.
The local police, military and fire department had
been put on high alert and the hospital was
stockpiling emergency medical kit.
2. More earthquakes had whipped sims into a frenzy, and some factions of the
protest groups had finally gone nuts. They were burning and looting… but
shielded by space and the high hills surrounding the town made the sims of
Appaloosa feel safe.
3. Edward and Allain remained calm, they had a basement prepped should the worse
happen. They didn’t try and raise the alarm in the town because who would believe
them?
4. Marley stayed calm by pretending everything
was going to be alright. He stayed in with his
wife and daughter and they watched their
favourite films rather than the news.
5. The Bailey and Vickers families didn’t appreciate how
close the threat was. They were getting on with life as
usual… James introduced Annette as his girlfriend to his
dad for the first time. Warren was thrilled, his awkward
son had bagged a beauty!
6. Megan was feeling pretty
upbeat about it all too. Happy
enough to turn off the news
and do some meditation. She
felt safe knowing everything,
like Edward had said -
knowledge was power.
She knew the full story behind
the weather and the blight,
the earthquakes… everything.
It made her feel superior to
everyone in her little town.
Plus she had the bunker next-
door if anything did go wrong.
7. But the calm wouldn’t last.
The happy family dinners, and
long evenings watching the
children play were numbered.
Strangers were sneaking into
Appaloosa with mayhem in
mind.
8. All over town sims young and old
were blissfully unaware of the
danger so close to them.
If they watched the news they
expressed sympathy but… well.
Things like that never happened
to them. Not in Appaloosa. Not
on Deasil Street.
9. That peaceful evening was so warm and
bright the Kasitova family even decided to
sleep out under the stars on a hill outside
of town. They didn’t know it then, but they
were about to become birds eye witnesses
to the events of the night.
