Google Forms
What: afree online tool created by Google that allows for the creation of simple online quizzes or surveys.

When: Online pop quizzes, class surveys, student assignments, etc.; Google forms can be used in a variety of
ways to assess knowledge.
Crocodoc
What: “collaboratively highlight and comment on PDFs, Word documents, images, and more" all online.

When: Use when you have a many documents of different types (PDFs, Word files, Powerpoints, etc.) to be
reviewed and edited by a group of people.
Urtak
What: a free, online survey tool. It has a very nice interface that can be used on websites and blogs. You can
make unlimited number of polls and save them in your profile for reuse.

When: Use when you want to capture information using 'yes/no' questions.
Remember the Milk (RTM)
What: an online to do list and task management tool used for managing your projects and your life.

When: Add tasks with actions like setting due dates, assigning priority, tagging, creating locations, repeating
tasks, and setting time estimates. Add tasks to customized, project lists or smart lists like “monthly
completed tasks.” Reminders can be received via email, SMS, IM, or twitter.
Jing
What: a screen capture tool that allows you to take snapshots or video of your computer screen, enhance
screenshots with audio and visual additions, and share your screencasts on the web.

When: Use to create step-by-step database tutorials for use on the web or in a classroom presentation.
May also be used for quick screenshots during reference chats.
Tungle.me
What: a free scheduling tool that works inside or outside your institution. Inbound scheduling allows others
to see your availability and request a meeting. Outbound is to schedule with someone else.

When: Use to set appointments with co-workers, faculty, and students whether you want to set it up or
they initiate the meeting, regardless of platform, time zone, or type of calendars.
