The Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization (NCR) Program in San Antonio aims to revitalize neighborhood commercial districts through private investment and spending. The goals are to empower community groups, improve physical appearances, and retain and expand existing businesses. The NCR Process involves a two-phase partnership and revitalization project. The Operation Facelift Grant Program provides up to $15,000 matching grants for eligible exterior improvements to existing buildings in NCR districts. Since starting, the program has completed 60 projects, awarding $812,967 in grants and leveraging $2,444,296 in private investment.
