Our initial aim was to just
become part of the conversation
and bring the human rights
angle to coverage.
Started to use Twitter for
monitoring the action on the
ground. Campaign manager
passed on contacts to follow on
Twitter to enable us to better stay
on top of updates.
3. 30th January
Having a man on the ground changed our role online from
highlighting content to being a source of information
4. 3rd February
Our team arrested, we were
becoming part of the story
Asked supporters to take action
via email and social media
Over 11,000 emails sent in less
than 24 hours
Our staff members were
(thankfully) released by the end
of the next day
5. 4th February
By the end if the week we started to
round up coverage into:

Media team blog
