2. What is TWITTER?
Twitter is a kind of social networking. Users post their messages and communicate with one another.
Their messages are called tweets. Users also access Twitter through its website and an application
with the same name. One of its important feature is that it is worldwide and all areas in the world
access it. It started working since 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone and Evan Williams;
furthermore, it rapidly gained the popularity all around the world. It has also been the home of
debates which covers various issues such as news, policy, sport, celebrities and etc.
In March 2012, Twitter became available in Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu, Greek and Czech. There were a lot
of volunteered people for translating menu option in to their own language that’s why it has turned
into mulinigualism social networking.
3. Twitter has been used for different purposes. There is Twitter reveloution which has
been organized for protest. Iran green revolution is a part of it. Unfortunately, As the
result of Iranian election protests saw the government of Iran block Twitter in
censorship.
