the perfect place for potential buyers to

Haven signature service
Haven Builders’ clients are treated to one

An important part of the building process
is choosing the finishings for the home.
Haven’s in-house designer works with
each customer to select fixtures, flooring
and lighting and other features of the
home. This unique service is provided
at no extra charge. Other builders send
clients off with all finishing allowances
but it’s often very difficult and stressful
for customers to choose a cohesive
finished look on their own. That’s why
Haven’s designer organizes shopping
days and accompanies clients to various
suppliers until the perfect finished look is
accomplished.
Haven’s building allowances are based
on the wholesale prices of the materials
and as a result, they do not need to
upsell or downsell customers. This
creates an atmosphere of trust and total
transparency.
Another advantage of building through
Haven is that customers deal with the
owners and managers of the company.
This allows for personalized service with
the people who are actually building
their home. Customer service and

The focal point of any home is the kitchen

owners of Haven Builders could not find
a cabinetry supplier willing to provide the
quality of cabinets, consistency of finish,
and in the turnaround time they required.
They wanted their customers to have the
best cabinets available and decided to
start their own custom in house cabinetry
business, Haven Cabinets.
Utilizing Haven Cabinets is one of the
privileges of building a home through
Haven. Haven Cabinets are available
exclusively to people building or
renovating a home through Haven
Builders and are not sold to other builders
or outside clients.
A unique benefit of having a custom
cabinetry business at one’s disposal is the
ability to create new ideas and designs
together with the client to enhance the
home. Intricate or innovative designs
may be difficult to achieve with regular
cabinetry allowances through other
builders. Haven Cabinets are
competitively priced and are
manufactured on-site using high end
equipment. Haven Builders truly believe

and finishing work on Haven houses
is done by their in-house team of

The Coalsdale: Haven’s
signature home
The Coalsdale, a Haven signature home
is currently for sale in Saskatoon’s newest
neighbourhood, Evergreen. The luxurious

4. two-storey home, located at 1726
Poherecky Rise, has over 3,450 square
feet of developed living space, including
an executive kitchen and an oversized
master bedroom, complete with sitting
area, ensuite and dressing room.
At 12,000 square feet, the Coalsdale
is situated on one of the largest lots in
Evergreen with views of natural prairie
vistas that are not slated for future
development. The home is completely
developed and includes a double attached
garage with custom built doors. Drive
through to an enormous backyard that
could easily welcome a future pool,
workshop or sport court.
Featuring a fully finished basement with
a TV and theatre area, the walls all use
R20 insulation. The Coalsdale’s insulation
and appliances meet Energy Star
standards.The heating, cooling and hot
water systems all utilized highly efficient
Energy Star appliances. The inline water
heater ensures constant and instant hot
water, along with convenience.
Main floor
The focus of the Coalsdale is immediately
apparent upon entering the spacious,
open concept kitchen, dining and living
area. Custom Maple cabinetry and
Arabesco marble countertops provide a
contemporary feel. The Metaluxe flashing
alloy backsplash provides a shimmering,
prismatic effect. Floating shelves, high
end appliances and built-in cabinetry are
all standard.
A unique and highly functional center
island was designed for families and
entertaining. Large pillars at each corner
give this focal point a distinct look while
allowing numerous people to congregate
on all sides. The Coalsdale’s hand railing
has a unique connection to the rest of the
home, as it has been custom finished on
site and stained to match the cabinets
exactly.
Durable, high end Hickory flooring is used
throughout the main living area, providing
a timeless feature that matches a wide
range of furniture and cabinetry. A walk-
out deck off the main living area comes
fully finished and ready to use, while a
modern gas fireplace warms the room.
A significant audio/video system comes
installed and prewired for eight zones
throughout the house. A touch panel in
the main living area controls the system,
along with remotes from anywhere in the
house. TVs can be added to the system
and it can also be used to control heating,
cooling, and lighting.
A fine piece of custom cabinetry is
situated at the garage entrance. Designed
with families in mind, the multi-purpose
coat rack and storage unit includes
benches, drawers and hangers.
Located near the main entrance is a
den or office space illuminated by large
windows. Haven’s custom cabinets
extend throughout the house and the
main floor bathroom is no exception.
Custom floating shelves are ideal for
displaying art work or sculptures. Unique
custom solid core doors, some with glass
panels or geometric designs have been
used throughout the house; there are no
bi-fold closet doors in the Coalsdale. All
doors match but have different features.
The theme of the house even transcends
to the outside, as the double garage doors
match the inside doors.
Oversized ceramic tiles line the inviting
front entry, while rarely seen radius paving
stones line the outside steps and entrance
to the Coalsdale. The arched stone
entryway is reminiscent of an Italian villa
and the house is finished in long-wearing
acrylic stucco.

Second floor
Two spacious bedrooms both with near
walk-in closets are divided by a large
hallway closet. Second floor laundry with
a shelving and storage area makes daily
chores easier than ever. The second floor
bathroom was designed with families
in mind and features an inner door
separating the bath and toilet area from
the sink.
Perhaps the Coalsdale’s most impressive
feature is the massive master bedroom
area. Equipped with a large sitting area,
bay windows invite a chaise lounge or
nesting chair, and offer the perfect escape
from a busy day. A two-way fireplace
warms both the bedroom and spa-
inspired ensuite bathroom. The bathroom
consists of a glass surround shower,
large tub and gleaming white, high gloss
cabinets and vanity housing double sinks.
The gleaming custom cabinets match
those in the modern, yet glamorous
dressing room, where every woman is
sure to instantly feel like a celebrity.
Floating shelves and suspended cabinetry
line the wall, while large windows let in an
abundance of natural light. A center island
comprises a multitude of drawers and is
