Proactive was founded in
2000, servicing the
Engineering and Transport
sectors. With initial offices in
Egham and a small team of
determined individuals, the
business began to grow.
Over the years, Proactive evolved into
one of the UK's leading technical
recruitment agencies with an envious
staff base and loyal market share. We
opened our second office in 2010 in
London Waterloo, which has today
relocated to Bishopsgate, near Liverpool
Street station.
In 2011, Proactive was acquired
by Human Capital Investment
Group (HCIG). The acquisition
gave Proactive the platform to
build further, whilst providing an
operational support
infrastructure that includes HR,
Compliance, Marketing, Payroll,
Accounts and Credit Control
In 2013, we opened our
third office – this time in
Birmingham Central, to
cater for the ever
growing demand of our
client and candidate
base.
In 2014, Proactive launched AlphaTec
Consulting as a joint venture between
its management team and Proactive –
a Milton Keynes based business

Andy Jennings – Director of Automotive & Transport Divisions
Andy has been with Proactive Technical Recruitment for 6 Years now and has transformed the way the business
works with his fresh approach to an industry he has excelled in for many years . A time served Workshop Manager
with over 20 years experience working for Volvo, Scania, DAF and Foden in all areas of the business inc Workshop,
Parts, Admin and Sales, Andy has overall responsibility for our Transport Engineering teams and implementing the
companies strategy , however he still likes to recruit on a daily basis and still likes to keep his ear to the ground ,
Andy will continue to build his already successful desk supplying Technicians and other blue collar workers
Nathan Woakes – Executive Consultant
Nathan has worked within the Automotive/Transport sector for 10 years specialising in Technical and Engineering
recruitment in the Truck Bus & Coach market , Nathans main focus is our White Collar desk where he has a proven
history of retained, head hunting, search and selection and contingent recruitment from Grad to Director level .
Nathans main focus will be to work alongside Andy but also grow our extremely successful Senior Appointments
desk supplying all levels of Workshop Management as well as lower level White Collar workers
