- Insured the return to profitability of the company’s first manufacturing facility in Excelsior Springs, MO
- The Excelsior Springs facility met and exceeded investor expectations and was profitable within 18
months.
- Helped save the company from bankruptcy. Engineered and managed its impressive growth phase, from
70MM pounds capacity to 900MM pounds capacity in 12 years.
- Managed a major $15MM capital project that gave the Louisiana Coca-Cola Bottling Co. the capability
to manufacture Coca-Cola syrup in house for all bottling and canning operations.

Accountable for the Operations Management of four dry pasta manufacturing and distribution facilities, three
in the USA and one in Italy. This involved the preparation and delivery of all operating expense and capital
expenditure budgets. These capital expenditure projects ranged from $ 1MM to $50MM annually. All
facilities achieved AIB superior ratings for sanitation, product integrity and protection. The manufacturing
operations were recognized as the lowest cost producers of the highest quality products in the US pasta
industry. All plants were non-union facilities.
Senior Vice President, Operations Oct 1997 to Oct 1999
Annually met and exceeded all key indicators and bench marks in the operations and delivered all major
capital expenditure projects on time and on or below budget. Company did an IPO October 1997. Provided
the funds to continue to support its fast growth rate.
Vice President, Operations Dec 1993 to Oct 1997
Accountable for the capacity expansion of the Excelsior Springs Operation from 70MM pounds annually to
300MM pounds annually. Accountable for the design, construction and management of a self- directed new
2. state of the art, Retail focused pasta facility in Columbia, SC, a Food Service / Industrial focused pasta
facility in Kenosha, WI and the Pasta facility in Italy.
Vice President, Manufacturing Dec 1991 to Dec 1993
First manager hired to insure the return to profitability of the company’s manufacturing facility in Excelsior
Springs, MO. Identified, developed and ROI justified capital expenditure projects essential for increasing
capacity, improving productivities and lowering cost of goods. Redefined operating procedures to insure
continuous improvement in all Key Indicators, including conversion costs. The operation met and exceeded
investor expectations and was profitable within eighteen months. The company was saved from bankruptcy
and began its impressive growth phase.
Louisiana Coca-Cola Bottling Co., CCE, New Orleans, LA Dec 1987 to Dec 1991
Plant Manager: Accountable for management of two bottling and canning facilities in Louisiana and the
turn around and management of the bottling facility in Tampa, FL. Managed the major $15MM capital
project that gave the company the capability to manufacture Coca-Cola syrup in house for all bottling and
canning operations. The New Orleans and Tampa facilities met and exceeded the Coca-Cola Company’s and
CCE’s sanitation and product protection standards for the first time in 1989. Conversion cost targets and all
key indicators were met and exceeded in 1989. All plants were non-union facilities.

Accountable for the management of four pasta manufacturing facilities, two in MN,one in Memphis, TN and
one in New Orleans,LA. The MN and TN facilities were represented by the Teamsters and Bakery and
Confectionary Workers unions. New Orleans was non-union.
Plant Manager, New Orleans, LA Dec 1980 to Dec 1985
Accountable for all plant manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations. Prepared and delivered all
operating expense and capital expenditure budgets and business plans. This was the lowest cost operation in
the Borden system when acquired in 1985.

Accountable for all maintenance and engineering with direct focus on sustained cost reduction, quality and
productivity improvements.

Mfg. Engineer promoted to Maintenance Manager with a 60 person union maintenance team. Company
manufactured Plastic and rubber hose products.

Project Engineer
First task was construction accounting for an $11MM plant expansion installing the capability to
manufacture flaked and puffed cerealproducts. Worked on the implementation of a formal preventive
maintenance program.
