Emile Vernon was a French artist born in the late 19th century who lived and worked in both London and Paris, specializing in portraits and genre scenes of young ladies and children that became popular in the U.S., Canada, and Japan. He exhibited a painting called "Roses" at the Royal Academy in 1904, though little is otherwise known of his life.
