This paper deals about analysis of waste water affluent from Industries in an economical way. Industrial wastes generated through various industrial operations are of different chemical composition and complex to decompose. These wastes upon discharge, affect the normal life of a river stream or normal functioning of sewerage and sewage treatment plants, unless pre-treated at the source point itself. The waste water from industries have high proportion of suspended solids, dissolved organic and inorganic solids, COD, BOD, alkalinity or acidityalkalinity or acidity (pH levels), more temperature level. Their different constituents may not be in same proportion as they exist in a normal domestic sewage. This industrial waste water cannot always be treated easily by the normal methods used for treating domestic waste and certain specially designed methods or sequence of methods may be necessary. The detail study of effluents before discharge is necessary to reduce pollution and hence this paper is proposed. Metering also has been proposed to penalize industries if the waste content is beyond threshold levels. As a Case Study the analysis and metering of water is been carried out randomly by collecting water samples of Bellandur lake, the most popular lake in Bengaluru, at different time using sensors and storing the measured values in a cloud (AWS-Amazon cloud Server) via GPRS for further use by the Government.

Water supplied to residential areas is prone to contaminants due to pipe residues and silt, and therefore resulted in cloudiness, unfavorable taste, and odor in water. Turbidity, a measure of water cloudiness, is one of the important factors for assessing water quality. This paper proposes a low-cost turbidity system based on a light detection unit to measure the cloudiness in water. The automated system uses Intel Galileo 2 as the microprocessor and a server for a web-based monitoring system. The turbidity detection unit consists of a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) and a Light Emitting Diode (LED) inside a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe. Turbidity readings were recorded for two different positionings; 90° and 180° between the detector (LDR) and the incident light (LED). Once the turbidity level reached a threshold level, the system will trigger the filtration process to clean the water. The voltage output captured from the designed system versus total suspended solid (TSS) in sample water is graphed and analyzed in two different conditions; in total darkness and in the present of ambient light. This paper also discusses and compares the results from the above-mentioned conditions when the system is submerged in still and flowing water. It was found that the trends of the plotted graph decline when the total suspended solid increased for both 90° and 180° detector turbidimeter in all conditions which imitate the trends of a commercial turbidimeter. By taking the consideration of the above findings, the design can be recommended for a low-cost real-time web-based monitoring system of the water quality in an IOT environment.

Air pollution that refers to the contamination of the air, irrespective of indoors or outside. A physical, biological or chemical alteration to the air in the atmosphere can be termed as pollution. It occurs when any harmful gases, dust, smoke enters into the atmosphere and makes it difficult for plants, animals, and humans to survive as the air becomes dirty. Proposed system considers pollution due to automobiles and provide a real time solution which is not just monitors pollution levels but also take into consideration control measures for reducing traffic and industrial zone in highly polluted areas. The solution is provided by a sensor based hardware module which can be placed along roads and plants. These modules can be placed on lamp posts and they transfer information about air quality wirelessly to cloud server. The proposed system also provides about air quality information through a mobile application which enables commuters to take up routes where air quality is good. Our objective is to demonstrate how Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis is a quick, accurate screening alternative for critiquing cleaning validation samples. Typical laboratory testing includes the development and implementation of analytical methods that test for residues of previously manufactured products, cleaning detergents, chemicals, solvents, byproducts, degradants, and microbial contaminates (from wet environments after the cleaning validation). TOC analysis has become one of a series of analytical methods used to assess the effectiveness of a cleaning validation. Almost any residual compound can be detected if three non-specific analytical (screening) tests are applied to a cleaning validation: TOC (for organics characteristics– carbon), pH (for acid/base characteristics) and conductivity (for ionic characteristics). Analytical precision and analyte recovery for cleaning agents (detergents) and other possible contaminates that may be found in clean in place (CIP) solutions will be investigated for TOC. TOC analysis demonstrated equivalent or better correlation to cleaning validation compounds in comparison to traditional analytical methods. Some qualities that make TOC a viable part of a cleaning validation includes: high sensitivity, high recovery of samples, non-specific measurement, ease of use (little method development), minimal interferences and cost effectiveness. This presentation will focus on the characteristics and benefits of TOC with general implementation guidelines for performing cleaning validation. By taking a proactive approach to one’s cleaning validation program, one can guarantee effective performance while minimizing downtime.

Add decision matrices Submitted by Christopher Bitikofer Sarah Ridha Brandyn Krieger Terran Engle Project Mentor Chikashi Sato, Ph.D Draft 2 Submitted: 11/6/2015 Table of Contents Introduction 2 Discussion 3 Detailed Engineering Specifications: 4 System Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) 5 Management 7 Budget 8 Appendices 9 Capability Statements 9 Gantt Chart 10 References 11 Introduction Access to clean drinking water in underdeveloped areas of the world is a growing problem due to global increases in both population and pollution. Current methods of water treatment are impractical to apply in many parts of the world, as these technologies are expensive, require large facilities staffed by a litany of professionals, and the production/disposal of treatment chemicals that often have negative environmental impacts. The need to develop a method of water treatment that is less expensive, operates without the use of chemical treatments, and has relatively low electrical power usage is of profound importance. One of the most viable and promising optionsoptions is to make use both cavitation and ultraviolet light (UV). The purpose of this project is to develop a system for researching the combined effects of these two forms of water purification. Cavitation occurs when the static pressure of water drops below vapor pressure. Small microbubbles form and slowly collapse in an energetic manner. As cavitation bubbles collapse, temperatures within the bubble can reach upwards of 5000 degrees Kelvin. Due to pyrolytic decomposition that takes place within the collapsing bubbles, the OH radicals and shock waves arecan be generated at the gas–liquid interface (A. Agarwal et al, 2011). These radicals degrade contaminants suspended within the water that would otherwise resist ultraviolet degradation. This makes cavitation a promising method of water treatment. Ultra violet light is capable of killing bacteria and living contaminants in water. Short wavelength UV light, in the range of 10 nm to 400 nm, kills cells by interacting with their structures and disrupting DNA (NIOSH, 2008). UV light is capable of killing up to 99.99% of bacteria in clear water. This system of water purification is both cost effective and nontoxicchemical free but it cannot break down particle contaminants that bacteria tend to live in. However in combination with a particle filtration system, or in our case a cavitation system, UV reactors are simple to maintain, cost effective and chemical free. The concise purpose of this team’s senior design project will be to develop a fluid flow test apparatus to demonstrate the degree of effectiveness of the combination of UV radi.

Clean water is a basic necessity for human beings. But access to safe drinking water is quite challenging in different parts of Bangladesh. It’s a major concern for many of us. However, to solve this problem, we are introduced to several methods and an industrial reverse osmosis water purifier is one of them. In this article, we will discuss what a reverse osmosis water purifier is, its purification method, as well as some other related things. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the details.

With more memory available, system performance of three Dell devices increased, which can translate to a better user experience Conclusion When your system has plenty of RAM to meet your needs, you can efficiently access the applications and data you need to finish projects and to-do lists without sacrificing time and focus. Our test results show that with more memory available, three Dell PCs delivered better performance and took less time to complete the Procyon Office Productivity benchmark. These advantages translate to users being able to complete workflows more quickly and multitask more easily. Whether you need the mobility of the Latitude 5440, the creative capabilities of the Precision 3470, or the high performance of the OptiPlex Tower Plus 7010, configuring your system with more RAM can help keep processes running smoothly, enabling you to do more without compromising performance.

Created by Mozilla Research in 2012 and now part of Linux Foundation Europe, the Servo project is an experimental rendering engine written in Rust. It combines memory safety and concurrency to create an independent, modular, and embeddable rendering engine that adheres to web standards. Stewardship of Servo moved from Mozilla Research to the Linux Foundation in 2020, where its mission remains unchanged. After some slow years, in 2023 there has been renewed activity on the project, with a roadmap now focused on improving the engine’s CSS 2 conformance, exploring Android support, and making Servo a practical embeddable rendering engine. In this presentation, Rakhi Sharma reviews the status of the project, our recent developments in 2023, our collaboration with Tauri to make Servo an easy-to-use embeddable rendering engine, and our plans for the future to make Servo an alternative web rendering engine for the embedded devices industry.
