He encouraged contributing to open source by observing what is missing from existing stacks, designing a solution, and releasing early. Danciu also presented on how he grew JasperReports into an ecosystem of tools and how companies like Banca Comerciala Romana and SNCF utilized JasperReports for their reporting needs.
