● Put the landowners in contact with members of two large organizations that could provide them with excellent
guidance,
● Create a strong relationship with the State’s representative and discuss the landowners’ vision with him,
● Break down the Mexican law of ecotourism in simpler terms and present it to the landowners in a way they
all understood.
According to the landowners, the relationships I helped create were indispensable to the development of their
endeavors, and they now felt they knew what next steps to take.

Led a crew in a fire restoration project. I was responsible for explaining the tasks to a diverse group of individuals, for
the safety of my crew, and for keeping them motivated.
Mailin survey project
LSU professor of Human Dimensions, Louisiana, USA — 2011
Assisted a professor by manually entering the answers from over 1,000 surveys sent to landowners asking about the
impacts of wild boars on their land. I further analyzed the results to be presented in a poster.
Doortodoor surveyor
New Orleans 9th Ward, Louisiana, USA — 2011
Part of a group of students going doortodoor for a postKatrina research for a LSU Sociology professor. We were
assigned streets to cover, and surveyed residents about their postKatrina experience. This project called for
independence as each student worked separately with no supervision.
Marsh restoration volunteer
