CruiseJobNow matches applicants with prospective employers in over 90 super
liners and mega yachts as well as luxury hotels in the Unite Arab Emirates,
Europe and the Americas. The Cruise-ship and the hotel industries are fastest
growing leisure industries in the world and the abundance of employment
opportunities offer perpetual excitement!

Application Procedures
● When to Apply
There has been a number of perceptions as to what cruise ship and hotel industry employment entails
and misconceptions about the processing, expenses, time-frames, and general terms of
employment. As a reminder, this is not a “working holiday”, but a professional work opportunity.
You are permanently employed directly by the cruise ship company or hotel, on a contract basis of
approx. 6-12 months at a time, and 6-8 weeks of vacation time between contracts. Promotions
happen all the time, and you return to the ships in the same higher position. That’s where most
management employees come from.
For this reason mainly, does it take longer to get placed than applying for a seasonal job in the UK,
Ireland, Europe or Camp / ski resorts in the United States or other youth travel options.
The key to getting placed faster, is to apply, send in your CV as soon as possible, after which we will
contact you for an initial interview if we can be of service, and you submit all the necessary
documents and paperwork at the same time. For those who seek training in preparation for the
positions they intend to apply , we offer training programs and attachment with local the
applicant’s local hotels. In our recruitment criteria, experience is thus considered but not
mandatory.
At CruiseJobNow we recruit all year round, but our busiest recruitment drives usually take place
early in the year, from January through March/April, and then again later in the year, August
through October/November. Our clients visit South Africa throughout the year for final interviews
with the applicants on file at that particular time, but some of them visit us consistently around
April, and or October each year.

Applicant’s responsibilities
& expenses
● The majority of the candidates who are approved at
the final interviews with the company representative,
are expected to cover the cost of a very intense medical
examination, the cost of any visa needed for travel, as
well as the cost of a flight ticket to the port of
embarkation. All expenses i.e.
cancellation/administration fee, where applicable, are
only paid after you had a successful initial/final
interview with CA or one of our clients and we can
prove it with a signed application form or letter of
approval. No moneys is refundable.

Administration Fee
In order to screen off time-wasting applications,
CruiseJobNow board set a nominal administration fee to
cover the CV processing editing and aligning with
standards required by employers in various regions (CV
format varies from company to company), application skills
updates and interview coaching.. The administration fee is
fixed at $18 per applicant and is processed through the
resident recruitment agent or recruitment manager in the
local area.
There may even be a repatriation deposit once the candidate
is offered a job, for the purpose to cover expenses to get you
home, should you not complete your contract.

• You may have the medical
examination done by your local
General Practitioner in which
case you pay the practitioner
directly. This may be a cheaper
and cist effective method.

Visa Processing and Placement Fees
• The majority of the candidates who are approved at the final
interviews with the company representative, are expected to cover
the cost of a very intense medical examination, the cost of any visa
needed for travel, as well as the cost of a flight ticket to the port of
embarkation.
• All expenses i.e. cancellation ,
• Visa or placement fees, where applicable, are only paid after you had
a successful initial/final interview with CA or one of our employer
clients after you have received a signed application form or letter of
approval. ,
• In order to apply for a Visa, you will need a contract form from
either CruiseJobNow or the organization employing you.
• Should your Visa Application at an Embassy or Consulate be
unsuccessful, you are refunded the placement fees.
• Visa Fees are paid directly to the consulate of the country to which
the visa application is made.

Flight Ticket Policy

Flight Ticket Policy
• In most cases you will responsible to pay for the first joining ticket.
The general concept is that the new hire doesn’t know what’s
waiting for him/her on board ship, and he/she might not like it on
board, therefore most companies have the policy to have the new
employees pay for the first joining flight ticket.
• In most cases, you will need a one-way ticket to the port of
embarkation, anywhere around the world, mainly Miami, Florida,
and other North American ports such as Vancouver, Canada, Los
Angeles, New York, Dubai and the rest of the United Arab Emirates.
• There may even be a repatriation deposit, for the purpose to cover
expenses to get you home, should you not complete your contract.

Entry requirements
● Be over the age of 16.
● Be medically healthy – any condition must be mentioned
on application
● Police Clearance Certificate – no criminal convictions
● Have at least three Ordinary level or have a full
matriculation certificate
● Please note that each application is handled strictly
individually, as there is no guarantee for any 2 persons to be
placed/scheduled on the same ship or company!
● CruiseJobNow reserves the right to review and select
any individual at their discretion, and invite them to
an initial interview.

Application Procedures ● When to Apply There has been a number of perceptions as to what cruise ship and hotel industry employment entails and misconceptions about the processing, expenses, time-frames, and general terms of employment. As a reminder, this is not a “working holiday”, but a professional work opportunity. You are permanently employed directly by the cruise ship company or hotel, on a contract basis of approx. 6-12 months at a time, and 6-8 weeks of vacation time between contracts. Promotions happen all the time, and you return to the ships in the same higher position. That’s where most management employees come from. For this reason mainly, does it take longer to get placed than applying for a seasonal job in the UK, Ireland, Europe or Camp / ski resorts in the United States or other youth travel options. The key to getting placed faster, is to apply, send in your CV as soon as possible, after which we will contact you for an initial interview if we can be of service, and you submit all the necessary documents and paperwork at the same time. For those who seek training in preparation for the positions they intend to apply , we offer training programs and attachment with local the applicant’s local hotels. In our recruitment criteria, experience is thus considered but not mandatory. At CruiseJobNow we recruit all year round, but our busiest recruitment drives usually take place early in the year, from January through March/April, and then again later in the year, August through October/November. Our clients visit South Africa throughout the year for final interviews with the applicants on file at that particular time, but some of them visit us consistently around April, and or October each year. 3

Applicant’s responsibilities & expenses ● The majority of the candidates who are approved at the final interviews with the company representative, are expected to cover the cost of a very intense medical examination, the cost of any visa needed for travel, as well as the cost of a flight ticket to the port of embarkation. All expenses i.e. cancellation/administration fee, where applicable, are only paid after you had a successful initial/final interview with CA or one of our clients and we can prove it with a signed application form or letter of approval. No moneys is refundable. 5

Administration Fee In order to screen off time-wasting applications, CruiseJobNow board set a nominal administration fee to cover the CV processing editing and aligning with standards required by employers in various regions (CV format varies from company to company), application skills updates and interview coaching.. The administration fee is fixed at $18 per applicant and is processed through the resident recruitment agent or recruitment manager in the local area. There may even be a repatriation deposit once the candidate is offered a job, for the purpose to cover expenses to get you home, should you not complete your contract. 6

This may be a cheaper and cist effective method. 7

Visa Processing and Placement Fees • The majority of the candidates who are approved at the final interviews with the company representative, are expected to cover the cost of a very intense medical examination, the cost of any visa needed for travel, as well as the cost of a flight ticket to the port of embarkation. • All expenses i.e. cancellation , • Visa or placement fees, where applicable, are only paid after you had a successful initial/final interview with CA or one of our employer clients after you have received a signed application form or letter of approval. , • In order to apply for a Visa, you will need a contract form from either CruiseJobNow or the organization employing you. • Should your Visa Application at an Embassy or Consulate be unsuccessful, you are refunded the placement fees. • Visa Fees are paid directly to the consulate of the country to which the visa application is made. 8
  • 9. Flight Ticket Policy . Flight Ticket Policy • In most cases you will responsible to pay for the first joining ticket. The general concept is that the new hire doesn’t know what’s waiting for him/her on board ship, and he/she might not like it on board, therefore most companies have the policy to have the new employees pay for the first joining flight ticket. • In most cases, you will need a one-way ticket to the port of embarkation, anywhere around the world, mainly Miami, Florida, and other North American ports such as Vancouver, Canada, Los Angeles, New York, Dubai and the rest of the United Arab Emirates. • There may even be a repatriation deposit, for the purpose to cover expenses to get you home, should you not complete your contract. • 9

Entry requirements ● Be over the age of 16. ● Be medically healthy – any condition must be mentioned on application ● Police Clearance Certificate – no criminal convictions ● Have at least three Ordinary level or have a full matriculation certificate ● Please note that each application is handled strictly individually, as there is no guarantee for any 2 persons to be placed/scheduled on the same ship or company! ● CruiseJobNow reserves the right to review and select any individual at their discretion, and invite them to an initial interview. 10
