Ball control wasn’t helped by the slippery conditions and it wasn’t long before a dropped ball saw Manly break away from inside their own 20m line and almost run the length of the field. It was only young gun Stewart Mills who sprinted almost 100m from the right wing across to the left to make a try-saving tackle.Unfortunately for the local junior, he was taken off the field by a medi-cab five minutes later after injuring his right knee and will have scans this week to confirm the extent.
