Searching through different stories on Advertising Age articles, I came across this article
which actually looked very interesting to me because it had a title very large called “Apple opens
up radio inventory to automated buying through iAd.” So after seeing the large title I decided to
give this article a try mainly being apple and iTunes are the most popular technology products,
well at least in my opinion.
The company name from the article, “Apple”, Apple is a prominent hardware and
software company best known for its series of personal computers, the iPod and its innovative
marketing strategies for its products. Apple was founded by Steven Jobs and Stephen Wozniak.
Jobs and Wozniak had been friends in high school and in 1975 were members of The Homebrew
Computer Club, a now-legendary group where electronics enthusiasts met to discuss the Altair
8800 and other technical topics.
Wozniak designed his own microcomputer and offered his plans to Hewlett-Packard,
where he was working as an engineering intern. After HP turned him down, Wozniak joined
forces with Jobs to manufacture personal computers in Job's garage. That endeavor started out as
a shoestring operation, but quickly became successful. The pair introduced a relatively modern-
looking computer in a plastic case in 1977 and incorporated as Apple Computer that same year.
By 1980 the company had grown to include over 1000 employees.

Apple has many other great products that they have been doing very well on, so they
have decided to invent yet another great idea, “iTunes radio inventory to automated buying
through iAd.” This product allows advertisers to target apple listeners with phone and email
identifiers.
This product is a product that the iTunes radio will compete with pandora, another music
radio that many people use as well. The apple product also allows using customer phone
numbers, and email addresses that can be cross-referenced anonymously against markers’ data.
I believe and think this product that apple has came out with will do well. Just like every
other product apple has came out with the product itself will not sell as fast at first because its
new and most people do not want to spend money on something they haven’t really heard about.
Most people wait for others to buy the product first and let them know how it works and how
amazing it is, then as more and more people start buying the new products others will see that it
is “the thing” to do so they will also eventually purchase the product as well.
