At Palladium Hotels & Resorts, we are fully committed to the protection of the en-
vironment. All of our Resorts meet a series of strict policies in order to reduce their
environmental impact to a minimum thus protecting their beautiful surroundings.
After the well-accepted towel reuse option, we have decided to implement a new
policy with regards to bed sheets changing in all of our Grand Palladium and The
Royal Suites Resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, Dominical Republic and Brazil, as well as
our Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Casino in Santo Domingo. Room cleaning will always
be done daily so you can slip into a clean bed every night. Bed sheets will be changed
every three days, but since we always aim to please you, we will change them when
you say so. Just leave the tent card on your bed and that way we’ll know that you
would like to have a set of clean bed sheets that day. Together, we can avoid wast-
ing millions of liters of water every day, contribute to saving energy and reduce the
amount of cleaning products that are released to the environment..

Hotel & Casino en Santo Domingo. La limpieza de nuestras habitaciones se rea-
lizará diariamente con lo cual usted disfrutará de su cama fresca y limpia cada
día. Las sábanas se cambiarán al tercer día pero, dado que nuestra prioridad es
atender sus necesidades, las cambiaremos cuando usted nos lo solicite. Si usted
deja la tarjeta sobre la cama entenderemos que desea que cambien las sábanas
ese mismo día. Colaborando juntos podemos evitar malgastar millones de litros
de agua, contribuir al ahorro energético y reducir la cantidad de detergentes y
otros productos químicos que son liberados a nuestro medio ambiente.

Fiesta Hotel Group has become the first supplier of tourism services in the Do-
minican Republic to actively fight against the sexual exploitation of children. The
Group has signed the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual
Exploitation in Travel and Tourism in collaboration with ECPAT International, funded
by UNICEF and supported by UNWTO. These organizations fight to protect children’s
rights against sexual crimes and guarantee a socially responsible tourism sector.
By adopting the code, we have committed ourselves to implement a series of cri-
teria in the hotels located in the Dominican Republic where sexual abuse of children
has become a serious social problem. The hotels are: Grand Palladium Resorts in
Punta Cana and Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Casino in Santo Domingo. The six criteria
are the following:
• To establish an ethical policy regarding commercial sexual exploitation
of children.
• To train the personnel in the country of origin and travel destinations.
• To introduce a clause in contracts with suppliers, stating a common repu-
diation of commercial sexual exploitation of children.
• To provide information to travelers by means of catalogues, brochures,
in-flight films, ticket-slips, home pages, etc.
• To provide information to local “key persons” at the destinations.
• To report annually.
The Grand Palladium Resorts in Mexico have been collaborating with “The Code”
during the last few years with the idea to have all of our Grand Palladium Resorts
participating in this initiative. Fiesta Hotel Group continues with its commitment to
offering a socially responsible tourism and creating awareness about this problem
that affects one of the top destinations visited by Spaniards.
